Escaping My UnHealthy Life in a Box
Career. Life in a box was my office - 4 walls and a little window. My last job more than any other, left me knotted & drained. It was TOO many years of constant stress and I had new health issues sometimes weekly. Eventually I turned into something like a train wreck, and had somehow lost "ME".
Stress Killer. The scariest day was my dentist telling me I needed to get rid of my stress. Most times I didn't have time for a Doctor visit or a sick day. I knew it was time to plan my escape from the Corporate world.... which took another 5 years to accomplish. Next: get my health & sanity back. See my health blogs: Health Vibes.
Health. Over 25 years ago, I discovered a happiness, confidence, and satisfaction in being a healthier person. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a health fanatic....I mean a girl's gotta have a little delightful morsel once a week, like chocolate.

Travel. I've always wanted to explore new places, the wonders & beauty of nature, history (the older the better), and different cultures. For me, I think living out of a suitcase for 10 years would take the magic out, maybe even tedious.
Besides, I love my animals and my own bed to give them up for long. The max I travel at one time is 4 weeks. I also love my friends & church, and the special comforts and joys of home - there's a satisfaction in that.
When I travel - I always find little treasures on each adventure because I've slowed down enough to see them. I want to laugh loudly, smile in quiet adoration, and keep my inner peace even while my adrenalin is pumping.

Over the years I learned 2 very important facts.
Being healthier doesn't mean boring & grueling hours in the gym. It can be 30 minutes 3 times/week at home and the rest is just fun activities outdoors which by the way is healthier. The activities should help improve strength, cardio, balance, flexibility & range of motion - and yes, walking is included.
Using natural & holistic methods to heal & keep your body's systems functioning properly is healthier than swallowing pills, prescription or otherwise. It's also cheaper & time saving. Can't beat that with a carrot! LOL.
This job may seem like a dream, but it takes dedication & long hours. And when I travel, I'm working.

Health & Travel Vibes is a road to being a better you/me. Since I'm passionate about health & travel, I've learned how to slow down & smell the roses. I make time to pray & meditate before my busy day begins because if you're not mentally prepared for the challenges ahead, you could easily stumble.... or have a lovely face plant.... Oops! I make time for exercise, outdoor activities, and volunteering at therapeutic horse facilities with all their animals.
And in between - I travel. With a mental calm, a stronger body, and joyous anticipation, I can more fully appreciate the experience and places we visit. I've also learned how to enjoy the moment, being fully in it instead of worrying about yesterday or tomorrow. And, I've learned how to balance myself with restful relaxing moments when I need them, which keeps me feeling energetic and restored.
Occasionally, my A type personality kicks in - but since I know what the onset of stress feels like - it's fairly easy for me to quickly self correct. It's about finding your happy balance and turning inabilities into possibilities.

Followers - our travel trips are designed so most people are physically & financially able to follow. We're family oriented, however there's a few slightly strenuous activities not suitable for smaller children or pets. Don't worry, no extreme sports or activities.
Health - vacations are proven to restore health. With over 25 years of physical fitness activities, mind calming remedies, and proven results of healing by natural means - I'd love to share my knowledge & experiences with you. It would be great to to have you join me in fun activities and watch your health flourish.
Travel - it's proven that fun trips to your own backyard, around your city, or across the ocean will boost your health in many ways. Travel Tips are provided for less stress.
Budget - if your finances won't give you that month long trip across Europe, you can focus on fun, less expensive trips. Take several 2-3 day weekend trips via car, bus, or train. Biking and inflatable kayaks provide loads of fun with minimal cost. You only need a good pair of shoes to go hiking, a pair of shorts to do yoga, and some type of clothing to go swimming.
Our World - it's beauty, resources, and all living things should be respected & cared for. However.....I still question if that applies to big nasty bugs or snakes!
Truth - when research data differs, I'll choose the most popular fact.
